Currently SB Nation has four (!) Mountain West teams in their weekly bracketology session. Now with the tournament even closer SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean who runs Blogging the Bracket is running the Bubble Watch on the NCAA hoops section with updates form now until selection Sunday.
The cool thing about this is that all stories that are published from around the network of blogs in regards to bubble teams will be updated on the Bubble Watch story stream. This means that any thing from our site here in regards to bubble teams (looking at you UNLV and San Diego State) should be submitted to the giant red button that says 'promote your post.' This particular stream is a good way to keep on top of the Bubble Watch without having to scour the box scores or to the less often updated ESPN Bubble Watch section.
Right now the MWC looks to have two locks (BYU and New Mexico) for the tournament regardless and San Diego State and UNLV needing to do some more work.
Here is the out look on the Aztecs who is one of the last four teams in from this weeks Bracketology:
San Diego State (18-7; 9-4 MWC; RPI: 38; Non-conf. RPI: 41):The Aztecs are here for one reason, and one reason only. Unlike most of their bubble brethren, they're winning games more often than not, going 8-4 in their last 12, and 5-1 in their last six. Plus, they're four points away from owning a 10-game win streak, as they lost to BYU by 2 at home and dropped a 2-point OT game at New Mexico. SDSU is 2-4 against the RPI Top 50, thanks to home wins over the Lobos and UNLV. They'll grab a third top 50 win, and a true marquee victory, if they can stun BYU in Provo on Wednesday. The Aztecs then take a week off before they close with a winnable home game against Colorado State and a road trip to hapless Air Force.
