PrintThe New Mexico Lobos started the baseball season by winning the series against Texas two games to one. I personally do not follow college baseball that much but i hope the Mountain West Conference does very well. So far we have had a great football season, a great basketball season and now i hope we can have a great baseball season. I hope the lady Utes can win the women's gymnastics championship too. Things are looking up for the MWC so i hope we add teams to our conference and not have a few of them depart.

sdsu just gave kentucky it's first loss of the season in baseball.
they were ranked number 22 in the nation and sdsu is only 4-6 but the have an all american pitcher on their team.

I'm not too up on how the MWC does in sports other than BB/FB
But in passing I’ve heard how UNM does really well in things like golf, skiing, tennis, etc. Is this true conference wide? It would seem that the topography and climate of our schools would lend itself well to great golfing and skiing.
i think utah does pretty good in skiing.

utah could win this years ncaa gymnastics championship. that would make 11 titles.

We’ve got a very decent cross country squad, mens and womens. Don’t know why we don’t have a ski team but i’m guessing $$$.
tcu just beat texas tech in baseball and they are 6-1 so far into the baseball season.
