San Diego State (15-6, 4-3) comes home after a road win against Colorado State and looks to win back to back conference games and start a new home win streak after losing its last home game to BYU. Air Force (9-11; 1-6 MWC), travels to San Diego to try to pick up their second conference win of the season.
Freshman Kawhi Leonard had a double double in the first half which was with 10th of the season and finished 14 points and 12 rebounds. Leonard's 10 double-doubles tie him with Michael Cage for the school record for most double-doubles by a freshman. Leonard and Malcolm Thomas continue to clean the glass and man the post for the Aztecs and Freshman guard Chase Tapley has come on at the guard position.
The Falcons have struggled all season and have been riding the MWC basement for a couple of seasons now. The Aztecs own a 23-6 advantage in games played in San Diego and are 8-3 against the Falcons at Cox/ Viejas Arena. San Diego State swept the season series a year ago and SDSU has won three straight over the Falcons and five of the last six encounters with Air Force.
The Falcons are led by two players averaging double figures, Grant Parker who averages 14.7 points and 6.3 rebounds and Evan Washington, who averages 11.8 points and 5 rebounds. Other than that they really don't have much to offer and shouldn't put up much of a fight, especially at Viejas Arena where SDSU has only lost one game this season.
