Colorado State's Greg Smith Suspended Three Games

The college basketball season is just around the corner, but there is some bad news coming out of the Colorado State program. Forward Greg Smith has been suspended for three games due to an altercation:

Police reports according to the Rocky Mountain Collegian indicated a dispute between Smith and his girlfriend when the woman, Katelyn Schwartzkopf, refused to return his keys to keep him from driving under the influence.

The report also stated Smith told the officer he only wanted his keyring back to get into his dorm a few blocks away.

For this incident Smith will be suspended for three games and could have stiff penalties from the Universities student conduct office. Smith is already has some academic issues and missed the teams two exhibition games because of being on academic suspension. This is coach Tim Miles' first suspension in his four years on the job.

Last year, Smith averaged 7.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
