The Road to the BCS series is back and we will go through some games that will affect the non-BCS teams (not going to fall to the pressure of saying non-AQ) in their quest for a BCS game. Plus, for each game there will be a section of who you should be rooting for. These games will be realistic games that could provide an upset.
As always, I prefer chaos to possibly break the system; wouldn't it be cool if there was a tie for second in the BCS standings. All rankings will be the coaches poll until the BCS standings are released. Links go to team previews, and all times are eastern.
So, what can Les Miles do to pull another win out of thin air, who knows. Auburn's Cam Newton is amazing and will be a real test for the LSU defense which is very good.
Rooting interest: Auburn. LSU is not going to go unbeaten the whole way (at least I think so) where Auburn still has to play Alabama so who knows.
No. 13 Wisconsin at No. 15 Iowa, ABC/ESPN (3:30 PM ET)
Lets see if Wisconsin can not pull a South Carolina and not stumble against Iowa. Wisconsin will need to use a heavy dose of RB Jon Clay to try to take out Iowa. Somehow, Iowa keeps winning with Ricky Stanzi.
Rooting interest: Wisconsin. Yes, the higher team because Iowa still has to play Ohio State and Michigan State.
Time to see if the Sooners are really worthy of that number one ranking. Their defense will have to step it up against the prolific Missouri passing offense.
Rooting interest: Missouri. Obvious, this will move up Boise, TCU, and Utah. Well Utah will probably get jumped by Missouri.
is Oklahoma State for real? Well, we will find out this Saturday if the Cowboys passing offense can be effective against the the Husker defense. What quarterback will show up for Nebraska, Taylor Martinez or Zac Lee.
Rooting interest: Oklahoma State. The Cowboys probably won't get past Texas and Oklahoma, so go ahead and knock Nebraska down to two loses.
