I'm willing to admit that I don't understand the BCS system beyond the fact that the polls account for 2/3, and the computer accounts for 1/3rd of the rankings.
So I was hoping someone could explain to me a scenario where Boise St. is higher in the polls, but gets passed because they are lower than TCU/Utah in the computer component of the rankings.
Let's say Boise St. finishes 4th in both polls and TCU/Utah finishes 5th...
...but the computers have TCU/Utah 5th and Boise St. 9th...would that be enough? Does anyone know? I'd love some feedback. Thanks!
