Video: Marshall Henderson Hit Best Angle Yet

Received an email this morning with another video which looks to have another angle and was shot from the Marriott Center.  The angle shows the opposite view of the previous video and is in real time.  Looks like it was a closed fist back hand punch and it looks like Marshall Henderson swung when the ref turned his head.

I assume some type of suspension will come of this, I believe there is a minimum of one game for a closed fist altercation.  It will be interesting when BYU fans come to the Huntsman center in a few weeks, and that he will be in the Marriott Center three more times.

That wasn't that bad

As an outsider over here at CSU it didn’t seem that bad. The whistle was blown, Emery went up to Henderson and put his hands on Henderson and then Henderson just threw Emery’s hands off him and got him in the face. Henderson had just made a legal play by throwing it off Tavernari and both of them walked at him so maybe a little survival instinct kicked in for Henderson.

It is a rivalry game so you have to expect some fire in the players. I say 1 game suspension maybe 2 tops.

Big guys sit in the post and throw elbows and forearms all day long and they don’t even get a foul called.

The difference is that it was a dead ball foul

He threw a fist and connected. Even if he didn’t connect I bet he’d land himself a one game suspension. But because he did I bet he ends up with a 3-5 game suspension.

If you watched the game, they may not have shown it on tv, Henderson tried doing that slam against the Cougars a few times. But what surprised me most, they may not have shown it on tv, was that Emery would go up to Henderson and they’d high five each other as if to say “it’s all good”. That may have been Emery’s approach on that last play but Marshal Mathers wasn’t feeling so good about getting beat. Either way it was unsportsman like and it really brought out his crybaby attitude. Sore losers deserve punishment.

Random side note

I know one of the refs, so every time I see a game he’s working, it always weirds me out. Especially during times when he gets a lot of face time. All I can think is, “Hey, there’s Dave.”

Finally saw it. Meh.

More of a “bitch slap” than a punch.
