Checking in with the College Basketball RPI: 1/26/2010

As a league the Mountain West is rated 7th in the RPI.

All the RPI info was found at Real Time RPI.  Record indicates division one wins only.

We had a few changes of significance this week.  Utah's loss to Wyoming dropped them out of the top 100, thus turning an eh loss for several teams into a bad loss.  New Mexico's win over BYU livened up the conference title race, but also helped both the Lobos and the Cougars.  New Mexico jumped to 12th, while BYU moved up a notch to 19, in spite of the loss.  San Diego State is getting close to (if not already in) the danger zone barring some big wins.  At 12-6, with only 10 regular season games left, 2 of them at BYU/New Mexico, they're going to have to notch some big upsets if they want a chance at an at large bid.
