Best of the 2000's Counting Down the Mountain West Top 10 Teams: #8 2000 Colorado State Rams

Now, it is time to continue the countdown of the decades best team, and now we move to the number eight spot.

#8 2000 Colorado State Rams (10-2)

Tha Rams are on the list for the second consecutive time.  This team also won a conference title and was only seven points away from an undefeated season.  Those two losses came on the road to Air Force and then Arizona State by a total of seven points.

Star-divide

This team was lead by QB Matt Newton who was the leagues offensive player of the year.  The offense was one of the best in the Mountain West that year with six games over 30 points or more with four of those over 40 points.  They were also very good on defense and in one of their loses it was a shoot out 44-40 to Air Force, but besides that they gave up only 20 or more points in all but three games.
