Making the Rounds: 1/11/2010
The Las-Vegas Sun put out a way too early 2010 top 10 for MWC football. TCU is still number one but the big surprise is that they have Air Force three and BYU fourth; with the Utes sliding in at number two. Do not worry readers here at the site we will have our way too early 2010 projections.
Your waaaaaay too early top 25 for 2010 puts only TCU in the top 25 at seven, and for some reason no Utah?
Air Force The Falcons are looking to take the next step in 2010 and challenge the big three in football.
Colorado State Pete Thomas who is a four star quarterback has enrolled on campus and will compete for the starting job.
San Diego State Aztecs pull in a running back recruit over the weekend. Adam Muema had 1938 yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior for Charter Oak. What! Wyoming defeats San Diego State in hoops.
TCU Four TCU players are heading to the NFL combine deep snapper Clint Gresham, defensive end Jerry Hughes, offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse and linebacker Daryl Washington.
UNLV Rebels snag huge recruit in Desman Tautofi. UNLV gets past #16 New Mexico, but are still not ranked.
Utah This may be a surprise but the Utes have the longest conference winning streak at eleven wins.
Wyoming Huge win over San Diego State. Freshman safety Shamiel Gary was named to the first team freshman All-American team.

you have to have lived in vegas for awhile to see why they don't put us in the top 25
besides that one game we kick their azzes every year. they know they have another coach and practically the whole montana staff with him. we will be ranked. my guess is somewhere between 15th and 20th. unlv will be fighting new mexico for last place. they do have air force correct. they are loaded and i like their qb. i even think wyoming can beat out byu. it seems byu is counting on jake heaps for a miracle. last time that happened it was a guy named ben olsen who was suppose to go to byu. did his mission. went to ucla and then played utah as a 16 1/2 point favorite and lost 44-6 something like that. utah also broke his jaw in that game. he only played a few more games and then broke his foot at the combine. never has been heard from since.
i'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. i was building a house, i don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. bang. "unforgiven"

Pull back the reigns bro!
WYO over BYU? Where’d you get your peyUtie from?! WYO is definitely getting better but not good enough to take out BYU at LES next year. I may be seeing things from blue goggles but BYU will be much better than you’re giving them credit. Will they finish top 25? 20-25 maybe, but the following years will be the glory days all over again. I’m guessing BYU will start anywhere between 7-10 freshmen next year, one of them will be Heaps.
BYU will finish in the top 3 ahead of Utah. Let’s be honest here guys, Wynn is good but he loses a lot of offensive talent. Key, Asiata, Reed, Beedles, Jopru GONE… not to mention the defense losing any decent talent in Misi, Johnson, Sylvester, Wright, Dale BYE BYE! AFA will be the team to beat. TCU won’t return enough on defense to blow teams away and their offense proved they aren’t bullet proof. In fact, they lose anyone on defense that was anyone. Their secondary is about as bad as BYU’s has been, their front 7 made them look much better than they really are.
At least we didn’t waste every recruiting effort on Olson, unlike the Utes who landed the supposed #1 JC QB just to have him ride the pine behind a freshman. We only paid Olson’s tuition for 2 semesters, you guys will end up paying him for 4. Heaps is the real deal and he’ll prove it to you in SLC next year.

it's official. pete carroll to the seahawks
what is funny is i used to live in washington state and kinda wanted to see the seahawks succeed. seattle is a zhitty sportstown. they lost the sonics to okc and the mariners might be a little better next year. only 2 teams in a city the size of seattle? i actually hope carroll and the rest of the organization can turn it around. do you feel the exodus of supposed usc recruits calling other colleges? who knows maybe the mwc can get a few.
