Week Three Mountain West Power Poll
Of course there is some movement with TCU taking over the top spot and besides New Mexico there is no other consensus. Check how each individual voter voted after the jump.

So the numbers from this week are as follows:
1- TCU: 6 (1.00 average). TCU is up one spot (2.00 last week)
2- BYU: 14 (2.33 average). BYU is down one spot (1.00 last week)
3- Utah: 17 (2.83 average). Utah is in the same spot, but improved score (3.14 last week)
4- CSU: 27 (4.50 average). CSU is up 2 spots (6.14 last week)
5- AF: 30 (5.00 average). AF is down a spot (4.29 last week)
6- UNLV: 32 (5.33 average). UNLV is down a spot (4.71 last week)
7- UW: 44 (7.33 average). UW is in the same spot, with essentially the same score (7.29 last week)
8- SDSU: 46 (7.66 average). SDSU is in the same spot, with essentially the same score (7.43 last week).
9- UNM: 54 (9.00 average). Same spot, same score.
The comparison to last week is a little off because we had two Vanquish the Foe voters last week and we only have 1 this week, but there wasn’t a replacement, so there are only 6 votes this week, instead of 7. We also have a new voter from Spit Blood, but we lost a voter from MW Connection. I still recommend adding JazzyUte from BlockU as the Utah representative. Not sure if there are bloggers from UNM, SDSU, CSU, or AF that could become representative votes, but that seems like a good idea if you can find them.
Interesting to note that AF actually has exactly the score of their spot (5.00) despite not actually being a consensus. Biggest gap is between UNLV/UW (12) and Utah/CSU (10). It again appears there are three tiers to the MWC. TCU/BYU/Utah at the top; CSU/AF/UNLV in the middle; and UW/SDSU/UNM at the bottom. There are 8-point gaps between UNM/SDSU and TCU/BYU, but that is not really significant for the consensus first and last place teams.
Everyone hates a pink-shirt-wearing communist.
Thanks
for the recap and plugging all those numbers. Its good to see how teams moved, even if it is little off from last week cause of missing/new voters. I write for MWC but you could call me the resident CSU fan so their interests are voted into the poll. Hence their 4th rank last week that stood out from everyone.
Bring back Fum's Song!
Thanks for that
I should just ask Jazzy Ute if its ok to use their vote. Also, I want this up by Wednesday and if people do not get in their votes then I do not post. That is odd about AFA also bhsmarine represents CSU/AFA so that is covered on that front.
did you see the article about jerry hughes in usa today.
it was very complimentary towards hughes and gary patterson. that is the second article on the mwc this year in usa today. that is why it’s critical tcu beats clemson and utah beats louisville. we are getting more ink but we have to keep beating the bcs teams. that is mandatory if we want to continue getting good press for a nationwide audience.
