Week Three Blogpoll: Texas Jumps to Number One

The Blogpoll is set up by MGoBlog and is a collection of bloggers who actually watch the games, which is more then what the coaches, AP, or Harris poll voters can say. The poll is so respected that CBS Sports is behind the poll and it is posted along side the polls that actually count. Here is an explanation of the Blog poll from Brian himself.

I decided to move Texas to one since they did not play North Texas like Alabama did.  Looking at it Virginia Tech moved up too much for beating a lower ranked team in Nebraska.  I am feeling Miami (FL) and Houston as really good teams this week.

The poll is after the jump...

texas is very over- rated. they have not covered one point spread

they allowed la. monroe 20 real points, not scrub points. it was 13-10 vs wyoming at halftime. they did well in the second half but did not cover. they did not play well vs tt and they were at home and the tt receivers dropped many footballs in that game and they did not cover the 17 1/2 point spread. after the game colt mccoy said he had the flu. that is the best excuse for the week. urban meyer said his key playmakers had it. wisconsin said they had it when they played fresno. none of those teams covered the spread. i think in two weeks it will be cal at number one and miami at number two. florida at number three. i’m not trying to be a wiseguy either and have nothing against texas. they just have not lived up to expectations. i like that you have houston up there and i hope tcu demolishes clemson and they can be in the top ten too. peace out. ramble on!
