Week Two Blogpoll: Take Two
So, after getting called on a commenter who said if I drop Florida for not playing anyone then I need to make sure I treat every team like one. So here is an updated and final blogpoll for week two. Also, not sure why the last four spots do not have their delta listed all four are new to the poll.

Teams that are new into the blogpoll (from the previous week) never have a delta.
Brian Cook doesn’t like implying that all non-top 25 teams were ranked 26 by giving them deltas.
maybe
I didnt notice but I thought they showed an increase from not being ranked to ranked like a plus one from being unraked to 25. I possibly never noticed it before.

Byu #3
BYU #3 Br? really? In the whole nation?? I love my MWC but they dont deserve to be in the top 5 until they can prove they cant crack under the pressure that is already insurmountable at this point. #3 Way High
They beat ...
a top 5 team plus they were highly regarded. The poll will balance out as Florida and others play a tougher schedule.

What about USC?
Shouldn’t we wait until they prove they can not drop a game to a PAC 10 dottom dweller?
Well
They havent played any bottom dwellers yet. They do play Washington this week possibly without Barkley so we will see

check out sagarin power ratings today
usc number 1, byu number 2 and boise state number three. great news for both programs. i think if boise and byu take care of business untill the first bcs poll they will be both in the top 7. the coaches poll is only 1/3 of the equation. the computers are going to like us. peace out. ramble on!

BYU is too high
that is laughable, sorry
you can point to the win over OU, but at this point in the season, we still don’t know if OU is any good
yes, they were ranked top 5 at the time, but Georgia was also ranked #1 heading into the 2008 season, and still lost 3 games
preseason rankings should not be a determinant for your poll
Also, I am just curious why Georgia fell out of the poll after winning a conference game?
The problem with that...
is we don’t know if anyone is good yet. Maybe Ohio State loses 3-4 games and that USC win doesn’t look good anymore. This early in the season all polls are just guesses. Two games isn’t enough to see if anyone is a contender especially if they face DII or lowly DI schools their first couple games.
One reason I like the BCS poll is it allows a few games to get into the books before it starts spitting out polls.
True
It will all balance out in the end.
