Week Two Blogpoll, Yes I dropped Florida

The Blogpoll is set up by MGoBlog and is a collection of bloggers who actually watch the games, which is more then what the coaches, AP, or Harris poll voters can say. The poll is so respected that CBS Sports is behind the poll and it is posted along side the polls that actually count. Here is an explanation of the Blog poll from Brian himself.

Yes, I dropped Florida down the reason is that they played nobody so far.  By the end of the season or when they play somebody they will move back up.  To date USC, Alabama, and BYU have played the toughest opponents and beat a top 10 ranked team.  That will change as strength of schedule gets considered more into the season.

Common sense is used this early in the season with Houston making the obvious jump over Oklahoma State, well unless you are in the polls that count that have Houston either not ranked or behind Oklahoma State.  Now if this was midseason I can see their point but not for week two.

As I mention every week tell me how great, terrible, or insane I am for voting this way.  ENJOY!!

a bit wacky

I can see what u are thinking but to me it’s a bit wild to drop Florida 8 spots for not playing anybody. I say keep them on their throne until tebow and co. are beaten by someone. In that same sense u could drop the utes down the list, wins over utah state and san jose state aren’t exactly impressive for a team ranked 13 on your poll. So if u treat florida like that u should treat everybody.

Good Point

True I could have Utah lower because of Utah State, also Cal and Penn State could be lower since they each played a really bad team. Ill make some changes before the final is posted.

Little confusing...

Mississippi stays home and moves up two. Florida had a dominating win over a awful team, but still dominates and loses 8 spots. I would say its harder to dominate a bad team then it is to do nothing.
