Utah Opens Camp

Since Utah practices are not open to the public here is the next best thing with all of the first day audio from the first day of Utah's practice. Before, we get to the audio a few notes about the inaugural practice. Narrowing the quarterbacks from three to one is the main concern.

Even though freshman Jordan Wynn was able to bulk up by adding 40 pounds and enrolled in January odds are he will redshirt. According to media at todays practiced had QB Terrance Cain was amazing and performed the best out of the three quarterbacks. Cain was playing with the 3's, but that is not necessarily mean he is the third quarterback.

The other surprise was freshman wide receiver Ryan Lacy who was catching everything his way and with his 4.38 speed could see some playing time, especially since the Utes lost their top three receivers.

By all accounts, things are going smoothly.

That’s good news. You never want to hear stories about how poorly players look.

I honestly don’t know what to make of the QB battle. My money is still on Louks, but I think Cain is an awesome talent and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s picked.

Wynn, while he’ll be in the mix, probably won’t get a shot this year.

Wynn

I think Wynn has to redshirt even though he has put on some good weight. After day one we all heard how great Cain looked but he was with the 3’s, I think after the upcoming scrimmage Wynn will be eliminated and then hopefully an idea of who is ahead of Louks or Cain.
