The Cowboys led early but Loyola Marymount made things close with a second half surge. Up 42-31 at the half it looked like Wyoming was cruising to an easy victory. Loyola went on a 19-4 run to open the second half to pull slightly ahead. The game was close the rest of the way until Wyoming went on a 10-1 run to secure a 76-70 victory.

Star-divide

Ryan Dermody made the most of his start putting up 15 points and was 4 of 7 from behind the arc. Desmar Jackson had 13 points in 16 minutes and Adam Waddell added 12 while making 8 of 10 free throws. Boubacar Syalla fouled out but had 6 points 7 rebounds and 4 blocks.

The Lions dominated the Cowboys on the boards 47-27 and were +13 on offensive rebounds. Kevin Young led Loyola with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Drew Viney the usual leading scorer for the Lions was held to 7 points. 22 Lion turnovers led to 23 Cowboy points.

With the win the Cowboys improve to 4-4 on the year with the Lions dropping to 3-6. The Cowboys have next week off until facing Northern Colorado on the 12th.
