Counting Down the Mountain West 2000's Decade Greatest Players: #10 Kirk Morrison Linebacker San Diego State

The countdown of the top 10 list of players of the decade started out with the honorable mention list and now we are moving into the top 10 players over the past decade.

The number 10 spot may come as a surprise as it was to me as I was researching along with the other writers here.

#10 Kirk Morrison LB San Diego State (2000-2005)

2001Sporting News First Team Freshman All-American
2002, 2003, 2004 All-MWC first team
2003 and 2004 MWC Defensive Player of the Year
2003 and 2004 Sporting News Second Team All-American
Drafted in the 3rd round by the Oakland Raiders

Not many players earn two time defensive player especially on a team that was terrible and appeared in zero bowl games or had anything close to a winning record.
