Triple Header Open Thread: TCU looking to clinch BCS Bowl Berth

The regular season is coming to a close after today's game, but they will be good. TCU should crush New Mexico, but a TCU gets them in their first ever BCS bowl.  Then there is the Holy War that is always a nasty game and will determine the bowl situation for the league.  The finale is UNLV and San Diego State the Rebels are looking for revenge over last years embarassing loss, but they are doing it with a lame duck coach.  SDSU is looking for a positive note heading into the off season.

New Mexico @ TCU 12 PM CST The Mtn.

Utah @ BYU 3PM MST The Mtn.and Images_medium HD

UNLV @ San Diego State 7PM PST The Mtn.

Feel free to comment on the Florida and Florida State game which could affect TCU and their chances in getting to the number two spot.

tcu starting out slow but it will pick up

the line got to 45 and 1/2 points i had to take the biggest line all year. it’s was just too tempting. tcu 45 n.m. 14

i might have a problem tcu has allowed or should i say not allowed 6 yards

this is going to be bad. that is okay. every team getting 10 or more points yesterday and the texas am game covered. auburn nevada, texas am and louisville.

i guess they want their style points. whatever is best for the conference is fine by me

the mwc is 20 million richer minus the taxes. they do pay taxes on bcs money correct? or since it’s college football they are not considered professional’s and no tax?

OK beating OSU

an Oklahoma win will kick out OSU for a Fiesta Bowl spot and open one up for Boise.

by Jeremy Mauss on Nov 28, 2009 11:37 AM PST reply actions

yes it would

after the nevada game last night and when they beat nmsu next week chris peterson is going to explain his teams worthiness for a bcs bowl bid. if i was coach of bsu i would do the same thing. coach whitt said he would vote his team #1 when he was not supposed too. nothing happened to him. they all understood. let’s hope okie beats osu and then all you have left is iowa with a not healthy stanzi and penn state who had a terrible out of conf. schedule. tcu in first then boise state in definitely. they deserve it. 25-1 in the last two seasons.

I think Penn State will get a bid

Then it comes down to Boise State, possibly the BYU/Utah winner (but they will not get chosen) and Virginia Tech if they win. This is if Okie State loses. Essentially Boise vs. VT, only other scenario that is reasonable is if Pitt beats Cincy which would give Pitt the auto bid and then Cincy would be considered.

can't see them taking va. tech not only do they have three losses

OU is taking care of business against Okie State

That gives Boise a clear shot to the Fiesta Bowl against Penn State

Just saw Florida

Run a sick play it was a double option with either a pitch or shovel pass and Tebow did a shovel for a TD
