TCU is giving 45 points to new mexico this week.
That is the largest spread of the season in vegas/reno area. i'm just glad new mexico got it's one win. any predictions for the game? i actually might take n.m. if it gets up around 46 points but this is tcu's last chance for a statement game and it could end up in a score like 63-10. can't wait for texas christian university's first bcs bowl bid. i'm very excited for them. they will do the mountain west conference proud just like utah has done. the money is an extra bonus too. gary patterson coach of tcu is a class act. his team deserve's it and so does he. so does the fort worth area in texas. god bless texas and don't mess with texas christian university.

too big to take
45 is huge and I think NM might be the way to go. I personally would not touch the line.

A 45-point line depends too much on the mercilessness of the winning team.
Once it’s up, say, 30 points, it’s easy to sit on the clock and kill the game. Even if another touchdown or a couple figgies ensue, you can fall short of that mark, even though they may outplay UNM by enough to be worth 50-60 points.
I have no doubt the score will end up in that range, but the line is purely going to depend on their mood.

i say once tcu is comfortably up by 31 -35 points the entire second string comes in
there is no reason to get anybody injured vs n.m. they want everybody healthy for there bcs bowl game. n.m might score that last scrub td i’m looking for.
yes i am obsessive, obnoxious, in your face and all about covering the spread. those are my good qualities.

It may depend on how TCU feels about their NC game chances.
If one of the Big Three were to lose a game this weekend (unlikely, but…), then TCU has a chance to get to that #2 slot so long as the SOS hit of playing New Mexico doesn’t doom them. Perhaps they show a little less mercy to try to sway human voters. Or, knowing that non-scoreboard performance metrics are a part of the computers, maybe they try to make sure that the game stats are as ridiculously in their favor as possible.

texas a&m scored early but unlesss they are up by 14 points in 4th quarter
which has maybe a 5% canhce of happening i won’t get too excited. it would be nice to see tcu at #3 in next weeks bcs poll. btw boise state has no chance of getting to bcs bowl even if they go 13-0 the bcs committee has already said they are looking at lsu and usc still. both those teams have three losses. if you read between the lines they will pick a two loss penn state team or iowa. team. all boise state will show for 25 – 1 record for last two years (if they get by nevada) is a loss to tcu and a probable matchup with byu in a pretty meaningless bowl. you think their fan base would beg to get into the mwc then ? lol.

they actually have new mexico getting 55 and 1/2 points on big teaser card
that is the most i have ever seen. big teasers usually add anywhere from 9-11 points per game. you add it to the regular point spread which is 45 points. 8 td’s. i never thought i would see the day.
