San Diego State Athletic Director Jeff Schemmel has resigned
Schemmel's resignation comes after he sought reimbursement from the university in relation to his cross-country trip to have a tryst with a woman in Alabama.

Don Oberhelmen, previously the associate AD, takes over as interim athletic director. Weber says a national search will begin for Schemmel’s successor, with a new hire expected to be in place by March 1st.
