UNLV Head Coach Mike Sanford Has Been Fired
The Las Vegas Sun is reporting that UNLV fifth year head coach Mike Sanford has been fired. He should finish the season. With Sanford at the helm UNLV went an abysmal 15-43.

He signed a three year extension last December. Plus, they have been doing slightly better of late.

He has been on the “hot seat” for a while now. I think its a good move by UNLV.
This year is somewhat of an improvement. They showed signs of life when they lost a close one to Oregon State, but have been awful since then.

The buyout is $225k or $250k if the firing occurs before December.
After December it would have been $200k.
