BYU Opens Season against Bradley at Home
The opening game for BYU is against Bradley from the Missouri Valley in the MWV/MVC challenge, and this should be a good one tonight. Both schools won twenty games last year and are looking to stay a top of their league and get to the NCAA tournament this year.
Overall both teams should be nearly as good as last year, but BYU is a little more balanced team Bradley. Last season Bradley had were forced to redshirt guard Andrew Warren and forward Will Egolf because of injuries. Those two were to be their top players and yet Bradley was still able to get to 21 wins. Bradley is hoping their eleven day trip to Brazil will bring the team closer as the season goes on. With Warren and Egolf back from their injured year Chris Roberts came on strong at the end of last season and should be a major part of their offense.
BYU has Jimmer Freddette who is a scoring beast and should be able to 20 points in tonight's opening game. Other playmakers for BYU are Jonathan Tavernari who is a sharp shooting small forward and a surprisingly good rebounder for his size at 6-6.
Expect this game to be an up pace game as Bradley scored in the mid 60's while BYU scored in the mid 70's. so expect a lot of scoring tonight.
