Open thread: BYU Takes on Bradley in home Opener
Bradley Braves at BYU Cougars, Nov 13, 2009 6:30 PM PST
This is the opening game on The Mtn. and is part of the Missouri Valley vs. Mountain West challenge. All hoops fans check out this game on TV and this is the beginning of BYU's drive to repeat as regular season MWC champs.
Bradley BYU
21-15 25-8
Bradley @ BYU 7:30 PM MST
This should be a pretty good game and the objective of this challenge wast to help each others RPI stay strong. The MVC has had a history of manipulating the system, and now the MWC has another non-conference game to help keep their RPI respectable.
Go ahead and welcome in hoops season and comment away in what should be a good game.

RPI doesn't always help you.
SDSU had #33 RPI last season and didn’t get chosen.

Idaho is giving Utah a run for their money.

Bradley is a good team.
I don’t think a close game is necessarily a bad thing. Although it would be nice if BYU could continue to pull farther ahead (up by 9 right now).
yes Bradley is good they won 21 games
Without two of their better players last year.

Haha
They played a team so diminutive ESPN didn’t even have a icon for their school in the box score.

And yet somehow they had box score and play-by-play for the TCU game
and not for any of the others. You’d think the BYU/Bradley game would have gotten better treatment.
The BYU site might have a gametracker or something
GoAztecs.com always has a gametracker and radio play-by-play and whatnot.

Oh, I was listening on the radio.
I just think it’s funny that a game between a MWC bottom-dweller and a team no one’s heard of had all the bells and whistles, when the best game in the conference (going by previous records and projected finishes) had none.
Idaho beats Utah 94-87
South Dakota State beats Wyoming, 77-61.
