TCU survives in the cold at Air Force, 20-17
Texas Christian (5-0, 1-0) beat Air Force (3-3, 2-1) in the icy cold of Falcon Stadium by a score of 20 - 17. TCU recovered a late onside kick attempt as Air Force put the pressure on late after a Connor Dietz rushing touchdown. TCU had to overcome 3 turnovers on the day.
TCU's Jimmy Young led both teams with 6 catches for 113 yards on the day. Joseph Turner would lead both teams on the ground with 18 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown, beating out Air Force QB Dietz by one yard. The Horned Frogs turnovers came of one interception and two fumbles. One fumble was by Turner on a 1st and goal from the 7. The other was late in the game by Jeremy Kerley.
With Tim Jefferson out Dietz lead Air Force to 17 points including a rushing touchdown of his own. The other Air Force touchdown came off a trick play where Jonathan Warzeka tossed it to fellow wide receiver Kevin Fogler for a 16 yard strike.
In the end TCU showed even with a poor game on the road they are a tough team to beat. Not many teams can turn it over 3 times on the road force no turnovers of their own and come away with a W. TCU takes on a struggling Colorado State at home next week. Air Force gets Wyoming at Falcon Stadium next week.

they run the triple option attack like navy does. not much in the passing game.
it was still a great win for a texas team in those miserable cold conditions. tcu 5-0 and on there way to 12-0.

dang
impressive rushing performance from Air Force. TCU should be happy to have this game behind them as Air Force and be tough to beat on their home field
only 14 first downs did tcu give up. tcu only allowed 17 points too
great win to me in those miserable conditions. you think florida’s defense which never plays in the cold would have done better? they don’t even leave the south for the whole season including sec cg. that been like that ever since urban meyer has been there. air force always rushes for alot of yards. they are always in the top ten and they are 3rd or 4th this year. i think they only manged 60 yards passing. utah fans were sweating csu and now airforce. what byu and utah should worry about is their games with tcu. tcu has a revenge game at tcu’s homefield vs utah. the only way that byu could win is if the weather is similiar to what happend in colorado springs. if it’s just cold like say in the mid thirties i would expect tcu to roll with maxy hall throwing 3 picks. scramble and ramble on!
