Troy Calhoun gets five year contract extension

Going 17-9 in your first two years deserves praise, and Troy Calhoun at Air Force is getting a five year contract extension to keep him at the Academy through the 2013 season. Calhoun, who made $560,000 last season, will be paid a base salary of $750,000 a year plus a benefits package worth more than $110,000 a year through 2013. His contract will be reviewed each year and if both sides agree a year will be added on, thus Calhoun will have another five year extension.

The Academy does not allow contracts to be longer then five years. C alhoun took over from legendary coach Fisher DeBerry and took Air Force bowling in his first two years, and the way things look the Falcons should be going bowling regularly with Calhoun.
