Rocky Long out as New Mexico Coach

No, Rocky Long was not fired, but he stepped down after a dissapointing 4-8 record, just one year reomved from the schools first bowl in over fifty years. Long was the winningest coach in school history with an over all record of 65-69 at his alma mater where Long played quarterback for the school, as well.

His tenure was for eleven seasons and this was quite unexpected. There is only speculation as of now who will replace Rocky Long, but expect a call to be made to University Utah defensive coordinator to be made.
