According to the Coloradoan the Colorado State high ups look like they will wait at least a week to make a decision on their new head coach, and want to have a new coach in place by Monday.
Here are former players or coaches who have ties to Colorado State Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild, Oakland Raiders special-teams coach Brian Schneider, Akron head J.D. Brookhart, Iowa State running backs coach Tony Alford and former CSU defensive coordinator Larry Kerr. Of those, only Brookhart has been a major college head coach.
The Rams are also looking at Southern Illinois coach Jerry Kill who currently has the Salukis in the FCS semi finals against Delaware and he has won 3 straight conference titles and 4 straight playoff trips. Also, Montana's Bobby Hauck has been mentioned and has led the Grizzlies to 52-14 record and five consecutive Big Sky Conference titles during his five seasons in Missoula.
Of all the guys out there look for it to come down to Jerry Kill from Southern Illinois or Steve Fairchild of the Buffalo Bills.
