Week 5 team and player of week

Another week in the books for the MWC. This weeks player of the week might be controversy, because they lost but he had the best weekend out of any MWC player. I will go with New Mexico Rodney Ferguson as this weeks Mountain West Conference player of the week. In their 31-24 loss at home to BYU Ferguson scored all 3 TD's for the Lobos while running for 87 yards and also 105 receiving yards.

As for team of the week I will have to go with BYU who finally got their first road win and their defense stepped up by creating 5 turnovers in a close game 31-24 over New Mexico. Max Hall had a decent game by throwing for 251 yards and 2 TD's. The Cougars improve their record to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play and are off next week and then get back into conference play at UNLV.
