Week 2 Team and Player of the Week

Time for some week 2 awards for the MWC. For team of the week I will have to go with the Air Force Falcons who are now 2-0 after they beat up the Utes 20-12 in Salt Lake City on Saturday. They were very impressive by running the ball at will and stopping the Utes running game. We will see if the Falcons can keep this up next week.

The player of the week has to go to Donovan Porterie from New Mexico. After a very poor offensive showing for the Lobos against UTEP with only 6 points this week they scored 44 in a victory over rival New Mexico State. Porterie threw for 342 yards and had 2 touchdown receptions while averaging 13.7 yards per attempt. If New Mexico is going to put up these type of numbers each week the rest of the conference better watch out.
