UNLV Names starter for opener @ Utah State

According to Mike Sanford QB Rocky Hinds will not be the opening day starter for the Rebels, instead redshirt Freshman Travis Dixon will get the start on opening day. This is very bad news for the Rebels, the reason Dixon is starting is because Rocky Hinds is still having swelling with his knee from his ACL tear and is in Los Angeles for treatment. This is not good news for UNLV Dixon was an excellent QB coming out of high school in Arizona, but for a team that has struggled to do anything and a coach on the hot seat. Dixon has some pressure on himself for that start, because this game in Logan against Utah State is a very winnable game.
