University of Utah snagged a last minute recruit Lavelle Peterson from La Canada. Lavelle will walk on this year and hopes to earn a scholarship for the 2008 season. He also was recruited by UCLA, Washington State, and Arizona. This is good for the Utes since Mike Liti is done playing with the Utes due to injury and the only returning back is Darryl Poston to go along with JUCO standout Matt Asiata.

While checking out a favorite site of mine collegefootballnews there was an article that listed every TV game for the season. Being a college football junkie I read pretty much everything. But this article caught me off guard, because it actually listed games that were to be televised on The Mtn. This is peculiar because I figured the site would only list national TV games, but I see this as a promising situation that a popular site is listing where to find the games.

Local media reports about Manase Tonga and his arrest after a routine traffic stop revealed he had an outstanding warrant for an unpaid citation which was for not stopping at a stop sign. The evidence seems to point to Manase just being a bit careless and lazy about his responsibility to resolve the previous tickets.
